We all love to have a candle burning now and then. They can create the right ambiance, brighten a dreary day, and add a pleasant scent to the room. But those jars they come in have a tendency to add up after a while, don’t they?
You feel like there must be a way to reuse them someday and feel bad about throwing them away. Like me, you must have some put away in a cabinet just waiting for when you need them, right?
Here’s a way to finally get them out and turn them into useful items for your home. There’s also a great step by step tutorial here if you’d rather follow along that way.
A side note, a great way to remove candle wax from your old jars is to freeze them for a while. When you take them out, the wax chips away easily and wipe the residue off with a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol. Then go ahead and wash the jar with warm, soapy water to thoroughly clean it.
