DIY Upcycled Denim Jeans Backpack

Sometimes we aren’t ready to let go of our favorite pair of jeans. Even though we don’t fit into them any more. Even though there’s a tear in the back that reveals a bit too much.

It would be great to be able to use those jeans just a little more, wouldn’t it? Especially if it’s something you need anyway, that maybe you don’t have to go and buy, right?

This project uses a pair of jeans to make a really cool backpack. It’s sturdy and can be adjusted to any size that works best for you (depending on how big the jeans are). Of course, you can use ANY pair of jeans, even new ones if you want, just to have one of these backpacks.

You don’t need many other items except scissors, tissue paper, ruler and pen to make a simple pattern. You will also need a long length of zipper that you may be able to find at a thrift store.

This project also uses a sewing machine and if you have never used one before, it may not be the one to start with. But it’s nothing too difficult and I have complete faith in you that by following along with these great directions, you can make this cool backpack!

I am so impressed with how well this project transforms jeans into a fashionable denim backpack, you will be too.

Take a look and see how it’s done.

Great job coolirpa
